I noticed the red hawthorn berries appearing this week, I thought they appeared in autumn??? is this due to the miserable cold weather.I like in the london suburbs.

Hawthorn berries usually ripen from the end of August/beginning of September until later in that month and can be collected until December. The ones in my garden in the Midlands have been turning to red this month but I won't be collecting them until September.

medicinal uses for this valuable berry

August 10 2011, 2:50 PM

I currently live in Spain. as one that has been suffering from heart and blood pressure condition for several years as a student of herbs and their medicinal values after studying and searching for Two years. This berry and the whole plant effectively lowers high blood pressure and helps strengthen the heart muscle naturally! This herb is invaluable. Well done Sarah to successfully cultivate this herb. Our grandparents and great grandparents well knew of these things unfortunately the facts about these herbs have been lost and modern medicine has taken its place.
Although I am unqualified due to finance I have been able to help many people with several incurable problems. Keep up the good work.

with kindest regards,
Little David.
