| I have a question- I have heard alot of people talk about their dogs being on the chain and thats how they like it since they pull or what ever the case might be- but-I have 5 dogs-I understand the adv. and disadv. of kennels-but what about
adv and disadv of chains?
which is better-how long is it safe for a dog-my dogs do have inside time with the family- however I love my dogs and they are part of our family and I dont want to do anything to cause them problems later on in life-so how long is safe?
any advice will be appreciated
thanks

Length of the chain a lot of times depends on the dog. I have dogs on chains from 6 foot to 15 feet. If you have a dog that likes the room and loves to play put them on a long one but remember one thing, If they get tangled up more then once it is too long. I have a few dogs that can not go on the long chains they have to go on the short ones. |

The disadvantage on chains is chain stain on chest. Also NEVER buy the bull snaps. They will wear and break. All our dogs are on at least 1o foot chains, 3 ply collars and stainless steel swivels. One dog a day is taken off the chain, bathed allowed to run the yard and house, (Our dog yard is enclosed by a metal panel fence, seperate from the remaining acreage) and plays nonstop with our baby girl and us. |
