Hello, I've been breeding pits for a few years now, and thought I would start in the weight pulling events. I've got a few great dogs and knowing how hard working they are I thought I would challenge them to something new. I'm looking for a harness to use. I've had all my at home carts made, rail cart, wheel cart, and a sled all made at work for me. I've got a younger pup that is just impressive. Has a hard drive, I thought I would start out on a couple of my older dogs to learn how to profect it. If anyone can help me please respond to me. I'll be checking back everyday to see what kind of resposes I get posted. Any other feedbacks let me know also. On things that would help.

Thanks Bret Parmer

Hemi do you have access to any experienced pullers in your area? Maybe a club or whatever?

My husband and I live in central Oklahoma, about 20 min south of OKC. We have harnesses, a track, sled and window weighted drag chains. You are more then welcome to come and work your dogs with us, and we will help you with any questions you may have, and if we don't know the answer, we'll find someone who does. We are active members of the 89er APBT Club based in Norman, Oklahoma. If you are in the area I would like to encourage you to come to one of our meetings and see what you think. We meet on the third Saturday of each month at 3:00pm at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds in Norman, Oklahoma. You can check out the club website at http://www.89erpitbullclub.com

I live in Elkhart, Indiana

Only person that I know of that is in weight pulling is Jamie Robinson. She owns UWPO, UWPCHX CH.Jemm's Big Willy style GDT, IDT3 She lives about 20 minutes north of me in Three Rivers Michigan. Now, Thanks for everyone that would allow me to come to there home and help but that's quite far away.. Haha..

I've got 6 ADBA events coming to my area in June. I thought that's when I'll give it a shot... But if you do know where I can get a nice harness please let me know... I'll be posting pictures of our dogs... Thanks again everyone..

I think a harness is going to cost you around $50. I got one from Newmans and it was pretty good. They are located in Louisiana and have been around forever, you can find the info in any Gazzette. I would recommend the less padded version though because mine looks like it was made from Santa's jacket.

The person around OK that gets a lot of recommendation for harnesses is Brenda Shelby and I think you can find her ads in the Gazzette too. Check those names and they may have web pages.

Missy Villines (excuse any errors) makes a good harness too. You may be able to find her by going to the Original Weight Pull Board.
