OK IT MEANS TO KEEP WHAT YOU WANT FOR YOURSELF,AND YOU GET RID OF THE ONE,S YOU DON,T WANT THAT EITHER DON,T WORK FOR ,OR THEY HAVE PROBLEMS,PHYSICAL,MENTAL,NOT,REAL BRIGHT IN SENSE THAT THEY DON,T ACT RIGHT.

Culling is the same whether your breeding horses, goats, dogs etc. Your goal is to produce only outstanding examples of whatever it is your breeding. Anything that doesnt meet that muster then would need to be gotten rid of. If you cull by passing down the dogs to say pet homes. Then you arent keeping that family line clean and tight. Whomever gets the lessor pup could reproduce that and then begins a long line of flawed dogs. Several of the Eastern Euro countries still practice hardline culling ...hence the reason for so many import police and military K-9's ...the fact that many of our professional working dog stocks are import says volumes about our breeding practices here.

ps its nearly impossible to cull early in the pups development as you dont know how the dog will turn out unless there is an obvious fault from the beginning.
