I noticed that there are an awful lot of guys in this breed? How many women are here, that enjoy working with this breed as well? Just curious ... nothing bad for the guys.

Tara,
There are alot of women in the sport. Whether we work shows and or train dogs. I havent trained a dog in a couple of years but I will be bringing a new one this year.

Hello Tara,
I have only been involved in the sport of weight pull for about 1.5 years now. I have fully trained and worked my females Denali and Trauma, on my own, Denali is real close to her ACE title and this will be Trauma's first year to pull. I enjoy my dogs and the sport very much! It takes alot of time and dedication, but its all worth it!
Tara,
There are countless great women involved in this sport and I have been blessed to be able to have met them...Tammie is from Oklahoma and so is Flamingo,Andrea,Kaye,Angie,Renee and so on...the list is countless and they are all very knowledgeable about the dogs, the sport and are very tough customers on the track!I have much respect for these women!

Hey Tara-
Kaye Langley here of All for Pride Kennels. My husband, Jason, and I got into weightpull 7 years ago. We worked together training our first puller Langleys Ace Kochino. And soon found out it is not always a good thing to have the same hobby and work together. So now I am on the sidelines supporting all I can.
Hope to see you at the next show. Dee and Jessica Goodner of Hardwood Kennels would be awesome weightpull people for you to talk to. They are both a hoot and easy going.
Give it up for all of the Lovely Ladies holdin it down in the dog world. There are a lot of ladies all over the country that train, show and pull dogs. The more shows you go to the more familiar you will become with knowledgeable men and women in the Game.

I'm the momma of the "Browndogs" and I've been pulling since 1986...and I've been an ADBA Conformation Judge since 1996.
I've trained a "few" good dogs in all this time and still going strong...gotta keep these guys in line...LOL

a word of wisdom for all: Any man that underestimates a woman trainer is making a huge mistake in judgement lol. I have literally trained over a hundred dogs through the years and without fail they will look to the wife for permission when I ask something of them ...go figure

THEIR HAS BEEN A GREAT WOMAN. IF IT WASN'T FOR MY WIFE TINA HUGHES. WE WOULDN'T BE THE KENNEL WE ARE. I CAN'T THINK OF ONE ONE GREAT DOG MAN THAT DIDN'T HAVE A SUPPORTING WIFE.

Yeah,
There are so many great women involved...I commend you all!Wendi,Missy and anyone else I originally missed or failed to mention the list is just too numerous! And let me say this...my wife is not always able to attend a show with me,as a matter of fact I just don't trust my dogs with anyone else tending them cause they always seem to cut corners and do a mediocre job and that is just not acceptable to me.My wife is the relentless warrior that tends my dogs and stays home and affords me the opportunity to even attend a weight pull...that is unconditional love at it's finest...my wife is my best friend, she has a true knowledge of these dogs, their capabilties and she offers a true love for the breed! If it were not for my wife I could not began to own/raise/work dogs period...she is my steady partner 365/24/7 all the time! I TRULY LOVE HER!So my hat is off to every one of these ladies cause I know what they put up from men like us!Thanks Ladies!

It's always nice to know we are appreciated. I have been doing this since 1995 & not planning on going anywhere soon.( We have a small kennel in northeast Oklahoma.) We have met a lot of great people Men & Women trained and pulled with the best.
See everyone on the track.

My wife Natia has not really got into pulling like I have but my dog I meant her dog Yanko pulls like a different dog for her. It kinda makes me mad j/k. She will be with me at most of the pulls that Yanko goes to I hope.
