ivermectin to pregnant females?

want to know from experienced people what ivermectin does to pregnant bitchs. my female was bred 2 weeks ago and i gave her ivermectin yesterday, i want to know if i should sicontinue use till the pups are whelped?

I've used Ivermectin often for different things. Yes, I would probably discontinue for the time being, might I ask what your using it for and dosage your using and the weight of your dog? She should be fine with what you gave her and even if she is pregnant. Is this an injectible and are you using it Sub-Q?

60 pounds 1/10 cc per ten pounds, orally for heartworm prevention

this is my experience with this if you gave it to her two weeks later you might have some problems,i did it once and it was in the middle of the breeding,my pups were born with some physical problems no tails,no rectums,and they did not liveliver prblems,kidney,s and so on,i think they will be okany later than you did you might have some problems.

I do not give ivermec to any of my pregnant females. I just hold off till they deliver then give it to her. It does have a possiblilty to create problems or abort a litter. Remember we use Ivomec as an off label wormer on our dogs. It may work great for someone for years with no problems but every dog is different and handles things differently.
