This post is in response to the letter you may have received from the ADBA regarding Texas Senate Bill 349. What they are trying to do is make it harder for us to own any dog on THEIR dangerous dog list. I listed the email addy's for each Senator If any one wants to state their opinion. Please use "Oppose Senate Bill 349 regulating dangerous pets" in the subject Line If you can just sent an email with the subject line just to show them that you oppose this bill.

God Bless...
Dear Texas state Senators:
I am pleased to know that you are concerned with the well being of Texas citizens.
I am writing this to voice my opinion of Bill 349 as both a Texan and a voter. I am the proud owner of two American Pit Bull Terriers. My dogs are well cared for, well trained, and well tempermented. I am opposed to breed specific legislation that punishes a group of animals classified by breed, or certain characteristics such as head size and muscle tone as opposed to their individual case-by-case actions. I agree that there are certain individuals that have given a poor example of what a dog owner should be, I also agree that a dogs actions are the responsibility of the owner, especially a large breed owner. Where my issue arises is in judging a dog based on its breed or physical features as opposed to its individual track record. I respect the efforts to keep our state safe, however to attempt doing so by infringing upon responsible owners rights to prevent the sad infrequent accidents caused by an individuals' irresponsibility by changing legislature would be misguided at best...and more accurately offensive and unfair to the responsible majority of APBT and other large breed owners.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Daniel J. Cazac
