My 15 week Woods/ McKenna cross is passing stools with lots of mucus (yellowing strings of what looks like fat, not so sound gross) This has been happing for the past 48 hours and his rear end looks irritated. He is acting fine and eating/ driking.

I called the vet and he told me to feed him rice/ ground meat diet for several days to see what happens. I'm dropping off a stool sample Wednesday.

Any suggestions???

Thanks!

Vets usually know the right thing to do so I would take his advise since he/she is licensed in the field. Try to keep a good relationship with your vet as well.
