Feeding an adult dog, once or twice a day?

I feed one of my boy once a day because he just doesn't eat much in the morning but eats like a horse in the evening. I give him the whole amount at night instead of separated in 2 servings.

It depends on the dog, some would eat all day if I free fed them!

But I was wondering if I should feed my adult dogs once a day from now on, cause my boy has been doing fine on once a day.

They are pets and not weight pulling at the moment.

What do some of you guys do for feeding? (adult dogs only)

I've always fed my dogs once a day. That's how my grandparents and parents have fed and so "if it ain't broke don't fix it"!!

I feed my adults once in the evening,have for many yrs.

in the 13 yrs i have been pulling dogs i feed my dogs 1 time a day and every dog i have had in these years they all do very well with what i feed and some times the food you feed makes a difference not all dog food is the samecheck your protien and your fats and your omega sand then you can go from there

I've always read that it's best to feed your dogs twice a day but have met many a dog man who does once a day.

My only concern with feeding them in the evening is don't they need energy during the day that they should be fed in the morning?

I actually give my dogs a little in the morning, a little in the afternoon, and a little in the evening but only because I think they enjoy that better. I'm also careful about not feeding before doing kind of work
