Alot of it depends on my work schedule. There are 2 other kennels that we will travel together when we go to shows. We are also getting some training seminars going to help get others involved as well.

The object to my post is to get most of all the guys together to find a nice neutral spot most of us could meet at to talk about another club.
There is a few clubs that are hurting a little for different reasons and I was thinking it would be nice to start up a local DFW club that was like a Team Texas. I know a few that are interested but they dont frequent the board. I know there is a lot more guys on here that would join up too I just have to get their attention on the board..lol

I'd like to see an APA pull in Texas, there would be a class for everybody and all breeds could pull, is Texoma not putting on anymore shows ??
there track is one of my favorites !
Im pulling Lawdog 100 lbs, Chug-A-Lug 113 lbs, I like the ADBA but with them changing there class'es its real hard for a big dog to win, but it can be done, last year Lawdog got 1st in the 75 and over at 96 lbs and MWP,
but that does'nt happen all the time, just my 2 cents

I'm just saying with all the guys we have around DFW, why not throw a club together. It would be cool if we had a couple people that had room that we could alternate meetings or what ever. Like greg said....we could host an APA maybe. All it takes a a few people to come together! C'mon guys....lets get a "Texas Crew".

I am located in cedar hill. When I was the V.P. of the Texoma club it was hard for us to go to every meeting (1 & 1/2 hours away) I wanted to start a D/FW chapter of the Texoma club, but I never got an answer If I could or not. It would be another idea, if ya wanted to go that route. The president could relay info to a designated person here about upcoming events and other topics discussed at the meetings in Gainsville, via e-mail or telephone. Then we could hold meetings here about the same subjects. We could even host a fun show/weightpull to help out with the budget of the club. Once we do that and we help with a fun show up there we should possibly have enough funds to hold a ADBA santioned show (we do need more here in Tx) This is all just a IDEA and Im not for sure if the current President will ever agree to this, but it could be what Texoma needs to be resurected!! chris

I up for that as well not a bad idea to help the texoma club.I am a member of the LSSPBC as well and intend to remain active with them so as long as the meetings dont conflict with each other it sounds like a whole lotta fun for me

That would be fine by me......I still think we could have a small group that was like a Texas group only....I just see how tight knit the Oklahoma guys are up there and it seems like they are throwing shows left and right....and I know we have enough people here to make up a nice team made out of texans!! I would be up for the texoma idea too if that is the way we go with it...I would hate to see what sheltdawg and a few others have created go down the drain. I know people have kids that are growing up and time is getting more precious for a lot of guys who used to be more active.

Who has some land that we could use or go to locally to host a show or meet up .....I know a lot of clubs go to parks but I think it would be much nicer if someone had a place...if not the I guess we can hit the parks I don't care...lol

Hey Richard we have it reserved now and started advertising it, you know the area better than me and it looks like from the map that it's about 20 minutes south of Ft. Worth, I was telling people it was in the Dallas area because of a friends message from La who's going, thanks for all of your help organizing this, looks like it will be a good show.
I've got to check with our Prez but I think we have it Friday too at least to set things up but since we have plenty of time I'll get back to you on that.
Excuse the sign-on name, it's supposed to be Joseph but it wouldn't take my previous sign on names a few times then I hit the send button too quick and this is what I got.
Anyway for all interested this is the web site of where we're going to hold the Oct APA event.
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH,
I can't wait to get the full details and pass it on..
Thanks Richard and other who are organizing this event.
Do you know when in Oct though?

I was wondering if the interest in the pull suddenly wained in the last 3 weeks. Is there still the possibilty to hold this event?
We're bring 3 from GA and I heard there were more in the surrounding areas who wanted more events so it originally seemed like a good prospect.
I've heard recently from a couple of people the fuel prices were going to hold too many back from coming because of the ADBA & APA CH's before and after this show. Is this the case? I need to know so we can book more protection events into that space before hand.
I would appreciate any info regading this so will know if it needs to be completely cancelled or not while there is time to fill the gaps.
Thanks for any input.

Hey Joseph,
I know members of my club will be attending, and I am so glad it would be all breeds. I have a few members that have English Bull Terriers and they would love to pull..
If you put it out there people will attend. We need more Weight Pull events in Texas...
Off the top of my head I know about 15 people that would participate.
