I was looking at your site and was just curious why did you even get Pearl if your plan was to breed her once and then get rid of her? Poor dog.

I was told that she was a 3 to 4 year old dog.I am currently paying for pearl and am paying 800. for her. Now I find out from a friend of mine who owns her sister that she is actually a seven year old dog. I actually called James Bates himself to ask about whether or not to breed her again.(James was her original owner but not the man I bought her from).I also was open about the fact that I don't have enough room to keep her in my kennel and that if he wanted her back for free that he could have her.He didn't have the room either so I told him I would have her spayed and find her a good home here in Austin Tx. We had a nice conversation and agreed that it would be safe to breed her once more and have her spayed. Pearl deserves to spend her last 5 years or more in someones home as there personal pet. She is so sweet ! At my house the dogs have to be kenneled when I am not home so they dont fight and when I am home I have 8 dogs in my face trying to get some love. Now when I got pearl she was kept in a kennel outside. Most brood dogs never feel air conditioning or lay on couches and sleep soundly. They are all kept on chains almost all breeders chain there dogs. I don't see my house or me finding pearl a good home here in Austin where she can grow old as mean or cruel. I could be like other breeders I know and just put a bullet in there head one day when she's not looking if that would suit you better.Or maybe I should just keep breeding her and keep breeding her till she just dies. I guess that would be better since she is still in my house.I thought there wasn't supposed to be any bashing of breeders on here.

He wasn't really bashing you man. It does sound kind of bad as a breeder to say your purchasing a dog to breed and once she has a litter you wont have room for her. When you know if she does have puppies you will most certainly have room for them until you sell them or keep some.


I think your doing a good thing to spay her and find a good home! That is cool, a lot of guys out there wouldn't go that far for some good old dogs. When you come on a message board and say certain things though it kind of sets up up for people to put their opinions out there also.


You don't owe any explaination to him or me or anyone else, just expect people to answer you when you put stuff like that on a public board.

Most can just read it and move on, some cant help it and have to say something whether it helps or not.

He got this info from my website because after this litter she will be spayed and I stated that if anyone was interested in adopting her just to shoot me an email. Personally I figured someone would be proud to have such a staple of good and what I think legendary blood lines as a pet. Not everyone wants to breed a dog and a lot of people like well trained adult dogs as pets. She has a lot of life to live and it is unfortunate that I don't have room to keep her. I considered giving her back to the breeder I got her from but to be honest I couldn't do that. I am not saying that he kept the dogs in a bad way, it's just that I knew she would be re sold and I didn't want her to be bred over and over and die a lonely death alone. If you knew pearl you would understand.... I call her my warrior queen. She reminds me of a old matriarch lioness. I chose to be what I felt was the best route for her.

I think it is funny that people like yourself always choose the wrong people to blame.You have all the passion in the world but you just cant seem to find the real people doing this stuff. You see I have only had 2 litters in my entire breeding history Neither of which was with those dogs you speak of. I just bought them. You couldn't be more wrong. And thats pretty sad considering you do work at NASA. I would think they would hire people with a higher intelligence then that. I mean to just make a judgment strictly based on a picture. I know better than to do that because you will almost always put your foot in your mouth just for being so ignorant. I wont expect you to believe me though, and I don't care if you do or not. It would be best if you just didn't respond to the nasa guy. He wont agree with you anyway you put it. Even if you are breeding an overbred dog it isn't his business and you owe him no explanation. You came to a board where people know the dog your breeding and have pups off of her so I see your intentions are just fine. If you do what you say as far as getting a nice home after you use her for a breed dog which she was bred to be then that is just fine by my standards.

Just because he is smart doesn't make him any more valuable then anyone else. Everyone is equally important and everyones opinions is as equally granted so just move on and let him get the last word in so he will feel better. Everyone that has anything to do with breeding dogs knows what your doing. Your breeding a dog that you think has a quality that you like, whether it be big dogs, drive or whatever. As long as the dog is medically fit to have pups then bred her, do your thing...if we disagree then that is what we do.
