For general interest sake,
There are some silent hardworking millionaires thru their own sweat and tears that are involved in the agricultural sector and other businesses.
Exclude all current or former politicians and private lawyers from that list. They suck on free/easy to get ,bogus, false claims and steal from the state or people, directly or indirectly. Also exclude the so called landowners of mining/oil and gas, logging and wateva as they get easy free handouts in short time. It's not hard work.
There are some successful PNG millionaires around too but are in question as some of them grew thru questionable means with con funding or "side deals money" from the government ,,Eg;Eremas Wartoto and lots more through out the country.
There are also some naturised citizens who have contributed to PNG and are millionaires too.Eg.the Constantinou family owning Hebou construction,Airways hotel and apartments,Lamana and the late Sir Brian Bell,Sir Hugo Berguser (Ox & Palm Ltd,Winjammer hotel).
I think here are some of the "*** ples" PNG citizens thru their hardwork who are millionaires.
1.Noreo Beangke (BSP,Credit Corp,Boroma Piggery,Niugini Coffee Exporters)
2.Simon Korua (Chemica Ltd)
3.Jerry Kapka (Kongo Coffee)
4.Jacob Luke (Mapai Transport)
5.Elijah Haro (Ezi Cook rice and noodles)
6.Eke Lama (Motel/Real estate and yumi yet pasin stret stua )
7.Mathias Merimba (Mendikwae Group of Companies)
8.Joe Kenken (Kenmok Group of Companies)
9.Sir Joseph Tauvasa (Professional snr company executive of various companies eg;SP brewery Chairman )
10.Gerea Aopi (Professional snr company executive of various companies eg;General Manager - PNG,Oil Search Ltd )
There are few more out there around the country but they are not wellknow especially those involved in the agricultural sector like coffee in the highlands region and cocoa, copra etc in the coastal provinces.
Feel free to add or subtract from the list with your comments.
