i heard her two songs the other night, naso jo and Trupla man. I thought it was cool...............what do u guys think?????

I'm just curious if she is from Oro by the sound of one of her songs- Naso Jo.

From what i know she is from a mix parentage of Central and Oro province.....but was living down south.

Correct, she's mix Popondetta and Aipeana village in Mekeo

I reckon Tania is the coolest female artist in PNG!! the fact that she's from Oro and Central makes her even more cooler...olsem watok ya!

Trupla Man,

Don't let me spoil things for you as she will be performing again this weekend at the Lamana Gold Club. Its expected to be quite a gig so be there.

She'll be doing a fair bit of travelling, and will be at the openign of the Pacific Gold Studios in Rabaul on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th of March.

Over the next week or so she will be doing the rounds of the schools in the NCD and attending to interviews and the such.

The girl is talented and one song that you should listen to, is one that she composed for her father.

Give it a whirl if you can and be at her concert this Friday.

Glad to hear that PGS has reopened its doors again..
I am a great supporter of PGS music and am looking forward to the opening and its recording soon after that should there be any. Please can you keep me informed of the latest in that please.

Hey H_C just for the record, Tania did most of the compositions on her album with embelishments and contributions from DadiiGii, the Lavaiamat Twins, Straky and Djamu, especially on the pidgin side of things and with the contemprary R&B beat that is PNG.

The girl does have a brain and is using it well. She is a student of music in WA and has composed stuff in Aus as well. Not blowing her trumpet, just getting the record straight so there's no loose talk.

She should do well, if given the chance and good on her. Same goes for Sasha when she gets the chance to develop her talents.

It's about time we had some female talent making it in the industry and staying in the charts. Just makes life more interesting.

Does she have a CD that I can buy? Pls, leave details here.

"Tania, with all my love" the track "trupla man" from this album is making all the charts at the moment.

Tania does quite a number of gig's in Perth but does not have a permanent band. She returns to Perth on about the 19th of this month after her gig in Rabaul at the recommissioning of PGS in Kokopo.

I should have those sort of details after my interview with her on Sunday. She travelled today but I will be speaking with her perhaps on Friday arvo so if I know sooner, I'll be posting. It should be interesting to find out what you think.

She did a lot of busking in her earlier years at Fremantle and is quite popular on the club scene, from all accounts, but of course I would like to hear from someone like yourself when you get to see one of her gigs.

Her music there is somewhat different to her style here so again I would like to hear what you've got to say from there.

well when I have some gigs coming up I will let the PNG community in Perth know I will tell my Uncle Henry Aufa and he will send a big email to all the PNG wantoks in Perth.

I jsut got bak from POM and will be returning there to record my 2nd album at PGS the 2nd album will be more local style than the 1st album and I can't wait to get back in the studio .
