I remember singing that last one back in 1986, on the Island of Bali-vitu (wetu?), just off the coast of WNBP. Are there any surviving copies of that song?

Also there was a popular local song in Kimbe at the time that detailed a person's journey to Kimbe town to sell betelnut (without success, if I recall). ALL the village kids around Kwalakessi used to sing it incessantly. At the time it tended to annoy me, but I find I miss it for nostalgic reasons.

Cheers.

1- ""Ho inano iau pakule ma skul lata "" is a manus language sung a a Tolai band called ""the Out
cast of Matalau""(I think)..this was recorded by NBC in the early 80s or late 70s.

2. the second one is a sepik song ..mmm maybe Manawali.

3.""Mi silip long sipiring bed..ayai manao""..is a Pidgin and Goroko language(mixed)song sung by either the ""Waghi Helcats"" or The ""Husats of Goroka"" recorded in the late 70s by NBC.

4..""Lukluk tamavatur mi sore mi luksim simuk blong paia"" was first recoded in 1983 by the OKORO MATES band of RABAUL..in 1993 the BARIKE band re-recorded it in their ""faiv key"" album.
