i have 5 shooting stings in my stick, is this a good thing or a bad thing, it still throws the same as when i had 3, except it hits of the top less

Its fine if it throws perfect but it might have a little to much whip

if you tighten tha top where tha mesh is connected to tha side walls then it will need less...i have 4 in all of my sticks and all of tha sticks that i string for other people....

well basically the shooting strings depends on whatever you like.if you want 5 shooting strings and u can deal with it then go ahead and use 5 shooting strings.personally i have to strait ones with a U pocket.the top string should be the tightest.think of it as a staircase and make the bottom one loose and get tighter as you go up and then it wont hit top as much.
