nothing went wrong. too make black, a very very dark purple is used. the purple is so dark that it ends up looking black. just die it some more and make sure that you dont accidently get purple

same thing happened to me man, you just got to make sure the water is as hot as possible, let the water boil for a while, put it into a bucket, add rit dye, stir and dangle

It happens to us all. I have one I am working to get black right now. Sometimes it takes 2-3 dying sessions to get it black enough. You have to build up the black. Give it another shot with 2-3 packs of die. As someone else said make sure the water is hot and you leave it in long enough. I usually do it over nights for black.

when you dye colors like black and any really dark color you need to make sure the water is at boiling temp, make sure the water is basically bubbleing like crazy so the pours of the plastic open up more to get the full color, if that doesnt work just keep on dying it, it will eventully turn black
