My son is just starting lacrosse next year. He is 8 years old, and is about 43" tall. Can anyone recommend a good stick/head combination (or pre-built set) that is affordable, and would be appropriate for his size? Do I just buy and "adult size" then cut the shaft?

If he is not sure if he wants to play yet i would recomend a fairly cheap stick that u can get used or borrowed. As far as length and size, at that age he won't be able to tell one stick from another but i would just get a full length shaft. If he likes the sport he can stay with that shaft until it breaks. If you get a mini he will easily out grow it.

if your son is only 8 yrs old. just get him a wide head that is ok. A proton is good as well as a revo or evo.
