I heard that rubberbands make best shockabsorbers. Exactly how should I wrap a rubberband around the strings on my racquet?

I haven't actually heard that rubber bands make the best shock absorbers but you still place them in the same place as the custom made ones at the bottom cross string above the centre of the throat piece Andrew..just tie them around that area, together with the two main strings.
