That is fantastic news. When do you head south?
WRT OTS, the advice given by one of the others in the forum is on the mark:
- keep your head down and bum up with the study and do as you are told.
- don't back chat, no matter how much they 'push you'.
- stand out for good reasons (your leadership skills, etc).
- Remember to be part of the team as they really hammer away at the team building stuff, and tend to 'punish' the group for any individual's misdemeanours (I clearly remember the course having to run back and forth to class each day on the other side of the airfield at Pt Cook in the middle of winter when it was in the old buildings next to the bay, just because of the transgressions of one of ourcolleagues).
All of your Police training should really come to the fore. Where you will be useful is providing a wiser old head for some of the younger direct entries who may not cope well with the change of lifestyle.
Anyway, congratulations again.
