On tonights update I have announced the address for the new AMI Forum. This new Forum allows you as a visitor to do a range of things that is currently unavailable to you on Network54.
To log into the new Forum all you need is to have a valid email address, but don't panic - no-one will see it.
The new forum will allow you to do the following things (at least):
- Send Personal Messages (PM's)
- View all new topics or updated topics on the press of one button. Or you can view only the areas you are interested in.
- You can mark all the new/updated topics as read with the click of one button.
- Personalise your logon to your tastes, including adding an image.
For moderators it allows a range of things for us to do including moving topics around between areas, something that has been missing with N54 but desperately needed. It also allows us to put 'stickies' on the Forum with pertinent information that needs to be kept in view rather than hiding back a few pages. There are heaps of new things that can be done on the new software and I am still learning as I am sure you will as well. Please explore it and tell others what you can do.
The observant amongst you may notice that the Forum is on a .com.au address, this is part of my drive to make AMI more 'Australian' and show up better on search engines. I will eventualy be converting the whole site to the .com.au address but you will still be able to access the site via the old address.
The old (N54) forum will not be deleted but I will keep it as an archive due to all the great information on it. In a weeks time any new posts on the N54 Forum will be locked and requested to be put on the new forum.
I am sure that I will receive complaints about the change of Forum but the site does need to move forward and new Forum software is only part of the changes I plan to make to the site to make it better and more relevent.
If you have any suggestions on new types of Forums by all means either post them on the new forum or email me.
The new forum is at:

Please sign up and support the forum.
Warmest regards,
