I just picked up a Rare Plane Dove vacuform kit, always thought they were a pretty aeroplane but am in a quandary as to what to finish it as.

I have very low resolution pics of Airlines of WA doves and also some better black and white ones I found on the net.

I know the RFDS operated a few who else anyone know?
I have pics of a Devon I took at Essendon but I really want an olde worlde model

I have some shots of VH-DHD at Camden many years ago when privately owned (and before it was rolled into a ball) - very nice scheme with lots of polished metal. Trouble is they're in storage, and they're unlikely to see the light of day for about another six months.

We covered the local Doves (Oz, PNG and one RNZAF ring-in) extensively in the IPMS (NSW) Magazine several years ago in a pair of articles.

MMA changed their colour scheme several times, and I drew all the known variations in the articles. There is also a RFDS example and several others from different operators.

I don't have anything specifically Ausy Dove for you but if you are interested in some good general interest/technical references for your Dove build, I have a Scale Aircraft Modelling magazine "aircraft in detail" article (Vol 20 Number 8 Oct 1998) that may assist you. No worries mate I will organise that tomorrow, just need your postal address if you can email that to me. While looking for some Nomad stuff, I have also just discovered a good colour photo article titled "Doves Down Under" (Aero Australia magazine issue 14 April/June 2007). It has got a lot of good colour photos of many VH registered Doves, (althought not an MMA example), so I will also through a copy of that one in for you. I wouldn't mind making an RNZAF Dove, as they looked pretty cool with the light blue cheat line etc.
