Question about keeping lettuce fresh

I've started buying leaf lettuce quite a bit and wondered how to keep it fresh. I've been putting a paper towel around it, sprinkling on some water, and putting in a plastic bag. But it still gets awfully limp. Is there a trick to this? With iceberg, you can just get those special tupperware things. What do you do, Ron?
