Easy Dip

February 16 2005, 5:19 AM

been making this years before they advertized it on telly.

one log of velveta cheese
1 or 2 cans of Rotel diced Tomato and Chili (I like the HOT)

in a pan on the stove heat slowey the cheese.
when melted por in the cans of rotel and mix well

I do not like to make the original batch in the micro but any left overs (never had any) can be reheated in the micro.

1 bag of Restruant style tortea chips

Or if you have one of those little fryers you can buy
corn torteas and cut them like you would a pie into 4, 6 or 8 wedges. Pop them into a little fryer for a second or two the longer in the more crunchy, remove, salt and drain on paper towel. wala chips. And they are cheeper and better tasting than the bag of chips in the store.

When I find the recipe for Australian Cream Puffs I will post.

From the #1 Hermit.... Ron ya hear that...

Ro-tel

You know, I never heard of Rotel 'til we moved here but now I love it. And there are a lot of kinds. I like the mexican fiesta kind to put in chili or the original to mix with vegetables or use to top burgers. For anyone who doesn't know, rotel is a brand of diced tomatoes mixed with different kinds of chiles and spices.

Your dip is making me hungry KD. We ate a chain, Don Pablos, Friday and they had such great salsa and enchiladas!
