I just got the DVD about a week ago, I have the tape too, and I have seen the movie too many times, but sorry girl there are no extra seens on the DVD, plus there is no bonus material either, so you didn't miss much, I can't wait for the new movie to get out I think it scheduled for last year January, but nothing happened yet

I am in Canada, and there is nothing on the DVD, really, is there a special way you got into deleted seens? all I have is previes to other movies and the end... I would asume that they should sell the same shit here as in states right?

hello, me again,
you know I can't get over the fact that there are some extra scenes that I haven't seen could you tell me please, if the cover of the DVD was "brothers lighting a cigarete" or "Agent Smacker holding a gun, brothers in the back round" I so want to see it, but I just don't get it, how come it's just not the same?
thank you

i have no idea why there are different editions in different countries but i think its stupid...you should be able to get the same stuff up there that we get...but if you live close enough to the border you could just come down here and buy one, the cover is the guys standing just looking out with smeckers face in the background. p.s. i luv canada (been there 8 times in the past 10 years).

When I found out that there was a DVD that had extra sceans I really wanted to get it, but then I found out that it isn't avaible in Canada. So I gave up on that for the time and just got the tape, so I could watch it in my room.
That means I guess that I have the tape the Canadiane version. I think the cover looks really, really bad. It looks like another cheesy action flick or somthing. When I told my freidns to rent it they thought I was crazy.
It has the acters names at the top ( Starting with Willem Safoe of course). Then it has a picture of Willem Dafoe (Agent Smecker) that takes up almost the whole cover and he is holding a gun. Over his right shoulder are the brothers both holding guns. Then it has this ugly gold/silver shiny writing across the bottom, BOONDOCK SAINTS in ugly font.
The back isn't much better either. All of the mini pictures make it look so crappy and cheesy. If I had picked this tape up at a video store, looked at it and read the back I would have never in a million years watched it. I guess it was a miracle that my friend just lent the tape to me. The cover just doesn't do the movie justice.
To top it all off, they pretty much give away the ending on the back.
"FBI agent Paul Smecker is on the trail of two vigilante brothers whose spiritual sence of right and wrond has turned Boston's steet red with blood.
"The victims are the villians and mob bosses that the justice system has been power less to stop. (This is the part that gives away the ending...) Now, Smecker finds himself torn between weather he should catch the killers...or join them."
The first part isn't that bad. It's just every thing I read on the internet that talks about the movie, makes it seem like Willem Dafoe is the main character. I'm sorry he's not. Maybe they only did this was because he was and is way more well known then Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus, but you could at lease give those two some credit.

The copy I got from play.com has no extra scenes either. The menu has one option - PLAY. I also think it's been cut, where Rocco shoots the guy in the cafe through his coat, that bit seems a lot less gory. The DVD cover is the two brothers lighting cigarettes, taken from the scene where they leave church at the start of the movie.
yes I have the same copy, but i am so crazy that I have the video and DVd :-0 I thought that on the DVD there would be some extra seens, but I was so dosapointed to find out that there is nothing, not even comentaries, or how they made the film, nothing (well I guess it justify why I paid only about $10.99 CAn for it
I guess I will have to go to states and get it there, but it's just funny that they make two different copies and they sell them both in North America... well actually I am not at all surprised, because when I was looking for it on the shelfs of video stores, and tryed to order it, it was not available, because the distribution firm, the only one that was bringing it in for Canada just took it off their list, I guess someone else got the rights, because two years later I just got it from regular Rogers video...
isn't it funny how far a fan is willing to go ?
great day to all
