The actor who plays Murphy (Norman Reedus) has his name tattooed on his chest. He's also got a small star on his hand, which can be seen above the "E" in "AEQUITAS" as well as two flying gargoyles on his back that can be seen in the deleted scenes and another gargoyle on his inner arm... but I don't think you can see that in any part of the movie.

Connor (Sean Patrick Flanery) doesn't have any actual tattoos (that I know of anyway), so you only see the 3 fake ones for the movie (The Virgin Mary, the Celtic Cross and "VERITAS").

Indeed and if you look closely you can see that they temporarilly changed the tatoo on Norman's chest to "Normal" for the movie

I've actually seen pics of Sean Patrick Flanery with a tattoo around his upper right arm (sort of a tribal arm-band design). I'm pretty sure it was in one of the Camera test pics for the Boondock Saints, but it definitily isn't htere in the movies, so whether it was a trial thing for a tattoo that Connor would have or whether it is a tattoo Sean has I don't know...I'll look into it :P it'll bug me for ages if I don't.

I saw that too... although I'm wondering now if it was covered up by the celtic cross the boys had?
