There's no definite on this from what I can tell, but the word is that there will not be a sequel.
The release date was to be September 2005, which, obviously didn't happen. And the listing of the sequel on IMDB has now been removed and no actors are officially confirmed for a sequel.
Sounds like the rumour of the sequel was started by Troy Duffy himself. A cheap ploy for publicity? Perhaps.
It's my opinion that Duffy's inability to "work" within the Hollywood system caused him to miss out on a theatrical release when the original came out, and it looks like he's not on a track for mending the relationship anytime soon.
Too bad that some people can't find it in themselves to just try to get along.
Oh well, I'll keep you updated as I hear something.
