I know this sounds dorky but my partner got me jimmys new book for my 35th birthday and i was hoping to find a way to get jimmy to sign it. Jimmy is responsible for my still being here in the world if it wasnt for his and cold chiesel my life may have been different. So Jimmy thank you. So if anyone knows how to get to email jimmy that would be great
I reckon JB has alot to be thanked for to get people through hard times...
Mines nothing compaired to some .. nothing life saving I just crank the music up as loud as my ears can stand it on a rough day home from work or if I need a lift I crank it up again...Doing house work is much more fun when I have Jimmy to shake my groove thing to( sometimes not a good look but hey its a dirty job someoe has to do it ) and the mosh pit is where I can get rid of all the crap that has built up .Not to mention the great friends Ive met here and at gigs and the fun times /road trips Ive had rember you only live once make it fun .
wombie passes the box for another testimonial to be written...
xxxxxxxxxxxxlove to all
I wreckon I should scrape up some pennies for his new book.
Hell, I got his "Say It Loud" book signed (To Daz, All The Best, JB) and looking at the sneak peek at the new book makes me just wanna go and pick up a copy (once the bills are taken care of) and since he is coming out here on Nov 11 (Regent, Ballarat) I best make it a double and get that book signed too (at the very least I'll drag along one of my CD albums of his).
As for a testimonial, I probably mentioned it briefly earlier but why not whack it in again and tell you all of how a poor and out of luck me struggled my way through Year 12 2004 with nothing more then a copy of Gold Chisel keeping me from just calling it quits and winding up on the dole (the original best of album that was later covered by some modern day bands as tribute to Cold Chisel).
I bet by the time the year was over every other year 12 student knew who cold chisel was (hell, I'm known to everyone for simply being into 'Cold Chisel/Jimmy Barnes' which is a label that I have found hard to shake off).
Anyway, thanks to that album lifting my spirits up when I really needed it most, I walked out of that year with a HSC/VCE. Although I've been in and out of Uni ever since, at least I have the conviction not to become a dole bludger (although I did take a year off to sort myself out a bit which so far has proven to be the best thing I ever did).
Keeping up the tradition and passing the testimonial box over...
