Absolutely Awesome! It all seem to happen so quick, I didn’t want it to end. I tried to absorb as much as I could. I can now truly understand why so many of you go more than once. I definitely would love to go again if I could.

To Mahalia! You are A B S O L U T E L Y A M A Z I N G, what a beautiful powerful voice; I would truly love to see you and your band again. Come back to Newcastle soon! I’ll definitely spread my word for you! No Offence Jimmy! We want you back too!

To Jimmy! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! My night was everything I hoped for (and sadly something I didn’t). It was awesome to see & hear you sing all the new songs. And you played my favorites, which is most of them anyway. What more can I say, other than repeat all I have read about the show from so many other fans on this forum. You Rock Our World! ! !

To Jackie! We saw you at the ticket stand; you have an absolutely gorgeous smile. I only wish now I’d stopped to take a photo of you with my daughter. I was too scared to ask, plus I wanted to get inside to get a good spot to hopefully get some good photos.

Now for the sad news!
As it was standing only, we claimed ‘our spot’ as soon as the doors opened. (Little did I know that I wasn’t to move an inch) We parked ourselves right at the railing on the first level near the stage, where I thought we couldn’t be pushed around, and we were only a few feet from the end so it was easy to get out for drink & loo trips. We tied our goodies (merchandise) bag to the railing & got set to enjoy our night. The doors had only just opened so I chatted pleasantly to a couple behind me. They asked who the support act was, what time did Jimmy come on, and was this a normal crowd for his shows. I assumed they were ‘occasional’ fans so I filled them in on what i knew. (Sadly she didn’t even know who Mahalia was & thought Jimmy only had two daughters) We didn’t speak again, but by the time Jimmy was into his older songs I’d had enough of being continuously hit in the back & arm, by the woman. She had been swinging her arms up & down like a robot from the very moment Mahalia came on, non stop & to every song. (And mind you, not to any beat?) I turned & asked her to stop but she told me that I had been invading her space & that my daughter had been pushing me up further in front of her all night. When I tried to explain that I hadn’t moved all night, she pushed me back onto the railing. My daughter thought I had fallen over. I turned around & told the woman not to hit me again, but in a flash, I was punched in the face. (When I checked where I was standing I had actually only moved about 45cm). There were 2 security guards only 6 feet away but I had to go over and get them my self. My daughter didn’t want to make a fuss incase we got kicked out for being involved, but it was definitely uncalled for & I didn’t deserve to hit. I truly don’t understand why some people have to settle conflict with punching, especially women! She was allowed to stay until I said she should be thrown out. Never saw her again; one of the security didn’t know what happened to her, said they probably just moved her to another spot.

It was a little disappointing but I got straight back into having a great night. After all I’d been thru to get there I wasn’t going to let it spoil my night. It was a night I will cherish & remember for a long time.
Never been punched before but it didn’t really hurt anyway. Everything was perfect other than that.
.

PS: The Baby didn’t venture into the world last night, so I guess now I have a chance to have both my dreams come true!

Cheers to All, Lynda
