As i m living currently in Paris, it will be the first time that i will have no travelling adventure to see jimmy in concert (in fact i hope so).
In 1994, i traveled 600 kms to see him in Paris
in 1995 or 6, i drove 300 kms in about 2 hours to see him in paris for a radio concert
in 2002, after a lucky sailing day in australia, i took a little plane to see him on hamilton island, and slept on long chair in an hotel resort by the pool
a few week before, i saw him live in geelong
in 2006, i traveled to cologne in Germany to see him.
what about meeting the two nicest chicks in oz and spending a wild night / morning in sydney you didnt mention that
HAVE FUN and take care

France welcomes back Jimmy Barnes !
What started off as an invite for Australian’s chart topping Jimmy Barnes to appear at the Toast Festival in London in September has turned into a three-week European tour. Jimmy’s former band; Cold Chisel had their biggest international hits in Germany and France. Jimmy as a successful solo recording artists toured Europe extensively in the early 1990s – even opening for the Rolling Stones in Germany.
Jimmy has a very active fan base there which has prompted this year’s tour. “I’ve been playing on and off in England for the past few years,” says Jimmy. “My fans there are really great. It’ll be good to get back to
Europe and to Paris again and I’m equally pleased that the new album ‘OUT IN THE BLUE’ will be released in Europe through the Edel label to coincide with the shows there”.
‘OUT IN THE BLUE’, recorded in two weeks with producer Nash Chambers (Kasey Chambers, Shane Nicholson) is Jimmy’s most bare bones and honest work to date. Much of it was written while he was recuperating from open-heart surgery.
With 16 solo albums and the classic Chisel catalogue to draw from, Jimmy has crafted a new set that will showcase the songs from the new ‘OUT IN THE BLUE’ album as well as many of the big hits spanning his
entire career including “Khe Sanh”, “Working Class Man and “Cheap Wine” just to name a few.
“The band is gonna be great. I’ll have some really great players with me and I’m excited that my son Jackie is on Summer vacation from his music studies in the U.S and is coming to Europe with me on this tour to play drums and that my youngest daughter Elly May is also coming along to do backing vocals”.

A true amazing guy was in town

I saw Jimmy Barnes and his band for the first time. What a fantastic singer ! A very nice guy too. We had a cool evening in Trabendo. It's been a pleasure to work on this show.
before the concert, I was sceptical a bit concerning the strength of his voice and the intensity of the show, because 2 years ago in Koln, the sound was not good and maybe i thought that because of reading many reviews after his heart operation, fans were maybe overpraising his performance...
It 's good to be wrong.
starting with lay down your guns, a punchy song, i understood immediately that his voice is better than ever, sharpened like a razor blade, it blew you right in your face, and then followed by i die to be with you. So, what i did ? i belted out each word as a jimmy clone.
hits on hits, again and again ! well done
I remenbered hearing a journalist during "the sydney olympic " the man who could tear the walls of Jericho : IT IS TRUE.
What a version of the war is over : shit, emotions like these, it gave me goose pimples
imagine during 2 hours, he managed to keep the high tone and level of the voice of rock : Who can be compared to him ? please give me some names, i would be happy to see those artist live.
No doubt, that the surprise is huge, he moves, he dances, the traditional gesture with his arm above his shoulder and the finger pointed, he wears white crocodile shoes, he tells funny understandable story for french fan (the rising sun one, and he accuses C-jay of telling lies in her translation (no,it was right), and last but not least he accepted twice to make picture with the ugliest (you can judge yourself below with the picture), unbearable and absolute number one froggy fan of him "myself", of course i told him that "driving wheels" was the song.
Good orchestration, keyboard, backing vocals, 300 persons with good reaction
in fact, i am sure that this guy is an android, because as he comes from Australia, the land at the end of the world, he must be extraterrestrial. I am no scientist, not a lunatic also.
pleasure to meet todd and ade, 2 massive informers on Jimmy Barnes music, glad to see that french food was honoured with Mac Donald, lol.
So Man you have one mission if u accept it :RELEASE A LIVE DVD OR CD of more than 30 SONGS, u have the full repertoire
well! what can i say!!
13 years after the show at the Mean fiddler in london (psyclone tour),i see jimmy at home!
The gig was really special as Barnes family have lot of friends in aix en provence.
That's why Mahalia came from Australia to support his father on baking vocals.
During the support act ,she play a french song for her french frends "je t'aimais,je t'aime et je t'aimerai"(Francis Cabrel)
There's nothin' else to say, jimmy kick our ass one more time! amasin'perform.
I 'll never understand why jimmy are so unknown in Europe! really strange
The best moment for me still "rain" from the australian band "Dragon" .JIMMY YOU HAVE TO RECORD THIS SONG AS A SINGLE !!! what a killer song!
