Hi Guys,
Long time no see.....
Good to be here.
It was great to catch up with so many people at the Mittagong gig..... I'm really glad I made the treck.....across the road from my home...LOL
I tell ya, It couldn't get more local than that...LOL

Penny and I have moved to Melbourne...
We are now Engaged... The big day is undecided at this stage.
I took her to our favourite restaurant (Tokyo Teppanyaki on Chapel st) and after a long speech about us, I got on one knee and proposed. She said yes......
The whole restaurant (Saturday nights are packed) cheered on, it was fucking great.

Im starting a band here in Melbourne, if you know any drummers or bass players, tell them to email me for an audition (schlam01@bigpond.com), I'll be doing the first lot on the 16th oct at hydra rehearsal studios in Burwood 6-11pm.
They'll need to contact me early as I want players to audition with my songs if they can, and I'll need to get them a cd.

If anybody lives here in Melbourne and can help me with social networking, infrastructure etc It would be really appreciated..... i dont know anybody here it seems. Very hard to party alone.......

Penny and I are looking into starting a live music venue rather than a real estate now, so getting a residency for the band wont be hard...LOL

Well, thats my update, for now.
Cheers
Matt Schlam

Best of luck to you both, it explains why you are no longer appearing in the local gig guides here in Wollongong.

Cheers Kathy

Matt...
Congrats on the enagagement! Shame to have missed you at the Mittagong gig... with no reflection on the music it was the worst ever one for me and didn't stay long! (yes I may still have an issue or two over it!)

Good Luck with the band, Im sure there will be a cheer squad down there to support you. Hope to catch you in Mexico on a visit.

Nice to hear you are still kicking...and rocking.

Thanks Wombie, they are cute aren't they? I'm 177cm tall and my 13 year old son towers over me already.... it's a worry. Lucky there is still a psychological advantage to being "Dad".
If we have one more, that'll be 9 between us.
Can't say we're not doing our part for the country...., maybe not helping with world population but hey.....lol
I wouldn't have it any other way, I love them all.
School holidays should be outlawed though... LMAO
See you soon.
XOX

Thanks D, it is still nice to get kindness from a stranger, it makes the world a warm place... it would be a much nicer place if everybody did it regularly.
Cheers
Matt

Hello,

I know I don't know you but I'll be polite and say congratulations on the engagement. Well wishes should not mean any less if they come from kind strangers, especially Barnesy fans.

All the best,
dazii
