Well.... WOW! It took about the first 20 seconds of the set to feel satisfied!!!

What a great venue, intimate and gorgeous, and then to be blown away with Jimmy, Mahalia and David!

The set list someone else can give... Im hopeless there... but it was a whole bunch of tunes that I have never heard Jimmy perform before.

It was a great gig... all the energy that Jimmy exudes..tripled by way of the Barnes gene pool with thanks to Mahalia and David. Im the first to love a good club rock gig, but to see Jimmy in a format thats a little different and to hear songs that I have never heard him sing is really very special...

Jimmy is an amazing musician...And he was rocking tonight, as was Mahalia and David...and of course Elly May.. and then the deep and tall Darren Percival...congrats on another brilliant yet different gig!

It was the kind of gig that when people ask 'What is it that makes you love Barnesy so much?' You would turn around and answer....nights like this!

It was one of the best gigs Ive seen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the trip up was a little less than fun Im now tosing nav Bi....ch out the window after sending us across the harbour bridge as the fastest way to get to the opra house and my poor baby Clare was the operator and was very close to getting out and walking by the time we got there but when we finally got to the tent it was amazing what a set up........

The songs were also such a change and even tho some of you linda and renee and clare arent old enough to know them i totally loved it cause i was brought up around a pianola singing with my dad most of the stuff they did and it was such a pleasure to hear something completely different and mahalia's solo of stevie wonder song the name of it has deluded me at the moment sent chills down my spine what control that girl has ...It was funny seeing the banta between the family and the energy they bounced off each other .... was good to see jane bopping it out there too i must say i still find it hard to sit down at these gigs but hey im sure there will be another mosh pit soon....It was an amazing night atmosphere and talent in ubundance and even my poor daughter who I guilted into coming with me said it was an awesome gig and shes a incubus/ the used kinda chick .
well done guys you really put on a show id love to see over and over again thanks so much.

Hi All
Here we go. Seems you have all had a Jimmy Mahalia and David concert in N.S.W. its time for us Victorians, so I am going to invite you all to my little town for a xmas party. My town has a population of 200 but on weekend just gone it swelled to about 2000 with the local folk festival, playing their banjo's and singing in the street. So I am off to the local RSL hall to see what it takes to book it. Seem's as though our town is back to normal now. Getting impatient for next Tuesday. Need something to get the folk music out of my ears. Got two friends coming that hav'nt been to a Jimmy concert before. So Wombie what do you reckon xmas party or not? lol
