It was one hell of a weekend....not alot of sleep due to choosing the motel from hell it was like sleeping in the tunnel at botnay(sorry anyone living in botnay )but i drive through almost every 2nd sunday and its just as busy and noisey as my motel planes cars and sheer hell.where i live its so queit at night you can hear a the rabbits passing wind in the paddocks,,,,,
But the gigs sure made up for the lack of sleep.....Caloudra went off lots of ferrals tho one girl made the security work for their pay and it think about 4 guards later being carried out..The energy was amazing I got to stand with Michelle and Margret and cold and chisel (you know who u r lol )and had the best spot dancing like a mad woman thanks too chisel for sharing your front row with me oh and giving me new singing methods to try ..nav bitch did me proud that night got me there and back no probs.
Jimmy did about 19 maybe 20 songs Margret got the song list so im sure she will post it .Mahalia and Elly did thier thing nothing less than wonderful too i may add.Mahalia looks so cute with her mummy tummy she has a mum glow about her but hell that baby must do back flips of joy when she hits those high notes.
sunday was wasted trying to catch up sleep in between the traffic lights changing on the road below
sunday night i rock up to get my tickets NO TICKET was there oh well sh...t happens but they did believe I had one so they found me one..the venue was a little strangley set out and i wouldnt have liked to be at the back of the crowd but when am I ever (almost was saturday thanks to the powers that be you know who you are and thanks)the support there were really good they did alot of covers but at least you could sing along and they were a young band so nice to see the young ones getting a go.stage was tiny but intimate and the music well what can i add again the crowd went off and the music rocked must say the second gig was technically better than the first but hey we can't be perfect all the time LOL....Again stood with the guys from here and had the best time its so nice to put faces to names and ADE you die hard you your rock coming all the way from pommy land but hey id want to get out of there too for a while and get some steak into me now and then and at the moment its like paying for $5 worth of chips and getting $10 the price of the $$$$ at the moment hope you have a ball on the rest of your trip mate ....And as for the wallet in your pocket i didnt feel a thing Loved the new Bling Bling JB had on too im sure someone has pics of it.nav b..ch took me the wrong way home but i didnt mind was too busy comming off my gig rush to worry....had an interesting flight and 2 hour train trip home saw whales playing off the coast which for a beach baby chick was a first for me but altho i didnt get into any bother at the gigs i did have a bad moment listening to an old nana speaking VERY LOUDLY and very disrespectfully to her grand daughter with a few F words thrown in and I couldnt help myself and even tho i may have emberraced myself in the full carrage i did tell her across the carriage that she needed to either shut up or tone it down case I was sick of hearing her for the past hour ripping into her grandchild i did hear a few claps from behind me so i wasnt the only one thinking what id said must have been sleep deprevation thats my excuse :)to top the night off won poker and a nice $300 to pay off the weekends festivities ..
BTW tony i did have my usual chocolate and coffe for breakfast you should try it sometime
Thanks to everyone who made my weekend such a great one and great to finally meet more chat crowd it was yet another road trip to rember when im sitting in my old age of memories couch

How lovely to meet you and I particularly liked trodding on your toes:)
It was a fantastic weekend and your summary was as magic as always.
I enjoy and appreciate the chance to go to a show and to share it with you made it more memorable.
I had an ablsolute ball and thanks to Michelle (Micki)for the company on the road (she had me as a navigator) Michelle you are a darling, as quiet as you are you are a lovely lady(I think I talked Adrian's ears off! ) and the joy was written all over your face, I am glad you had a great time Michelle and thanks for sharing it with me. Lets face it -we all had a bloody good time! Made up for some of those rough doomben and twin towns shows. Reminded me of the earlier shows back in the early 80s, the ambience at hope island was great!!!

Wombie lovely to have met you and I look forward to the photos that you are going to send me, LOL:) you are a crazy one and you are good for a laugh - be sure to take me up on the invite and stay with me next time you come to Brissie, Michelle and I can pick you up, it will be a blast!

Thanks Adrian for sharing a feed with me before the show. You should get some photos of yourself watching the show for keepsake. I have a couple of you but Jimmy isn't in view - well at least you know you're there.

Melinda and Clay - Seem to bump into you both often and concerts wouldn't be the same without you there, thanks for the duet ChiselMan!! you keep the chisel days alive and kicking!!

Look forward to catching up with Shay next time, another Qlder! We sure know how to have a good time!!!!!!!! That's what it's all about!!

Songs from 'Out in the blue' were great, of course - great lyrics, very honest, they certainly have helped me out during times of reflection.

I liked the hope island show best, it seemed to gel better.
I bought Mahalia's cd - love her song and loved it even more on Sunday night and I thought, I need to get that cd, want my girls to grow up listening to that voice that's for sure. One thing though, the mic was low when Mahalia sung at hope island which was a shame.

Last but not least, Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy thanks for the memories, eventhough I am just another face in the crowd, it's bloody great when you say 'hello' - thanks, love your music and your work! Your next cd is on our Christmas list.

Hi guys, As Wombie and Margaret said the shows at Caloundra and Boardwalk was both a great night but the last night was the best. Fights galore going on at Caloundra. Was so good to catch up with all your guys. Ade from UK and Nicky from this site and all the rest you guys. Just a few pics of the both gigs. The first 2 was at Caloundra RSL and the last 2 was at the Boardwalk Hope Island.

It was an awesome awesome weekend. It was great to see Wombie Linda and Renee again, and it was great to meet Michelle and have a good old chat.
All I can say is ditto to everything that has been said already. Caloundra was an awesome gig, a bit feral though lol Especially that girl that got hauled out. Jimmy was as awesome as always! The support band there were pretty good, a bit too heavy metal sounding for me lol

Hope Island was a bit of a strange set up, but was an amazing gig. The support band here was really good, and really got the crowd pumping with there various covers. Jimmy came out on that tiny stage and rocked the house down again. I was a bit worried about that light just above his head lol Lucky he isn't any taller hey!

Mahalia's baby belly is soooo cute, and she looks absolutely radiant. That baby is gonna come out rocking!!!

I have some pics from both nights. I took a few vids too which I will add in the next couple of days.
