Hi all,

Can anyone recommend decent accomodation near Thebarton Theatre. I've seen a couple of places online but the reviews havent been too flash.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Vanessa

Accomodation near Thebby

June 22 2009, 9:13 PM

Hi Vanessa
Thebarton is really close to the city (eg $10 taxi ride or 10 minute bus) so you could take your pick of any accommodtion in town you like.
Roughly how much were you wanting to spend per night and do you want pretty basic or something a bit flash?
Would you prefer to be in walking distance of Thebby?
Let me know what you're after and I'll give you some ideas.
Regards Cheryl
PS Where are you from?

Accomodation near Thebby

June 23 2009, 2:42 PM

Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for the response. I'm coming up (or is it sidewards?) from Melbourne. Given that I'm flying up late morning or early afternoon (I havent booked my flight yet) on the Saturday and returning back to Melbourne on Sunday morning, I probably wont need anything flash - just somewhere to sleep really. I'm thinking about booking at City West Motel. Do you know if they're any good?

City West

June 23 2009, 4:04 PM

Hi Vanessa
City West Motel is classed as 'budget' accommodation but that's probably all you'll need for the one night.
The best thing about it is that Thebby is 112 Henley Beach Rd and City West is 98 Henley Beach Rd so you will definitely be able to walk!
Are you also going to the Melbourne show on 31st July?
I wanted to go to the Sydney Enmore show but Big Bad Baz (husband) doesn't want to go and wont be left at home with our five tin lids!
Where are your seats here in Adelaide?
Regards Cheryl

Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for all the info. I am going to the Melbourne show but like you, am missing out on the Sydney shows. I'm hoping to win the $50m lotto tonight so I can book some more trips! happy.gif

I'm sitting in Row C, Seat 10 for the Adelaide show. What about you?

Cheers

Vanessa

You Lucky Thing

Hi Cheryl,

I wouldnt be disappointed with a seat it row M - it's still a great seat. At least, you won't be sitting right at the back. Perhaps we can meet up before or after the show for a chat. It's always nice meeting other JB fans.

I try to go to as many JB shows that fall on a Friday or Saturday night (I work full time Monday - Friday) I'm also fortunate living in Melbourne. We've been spoilt with a number of opportunities to attend shows.

It sounds like you are a busy mum. How old are you kids? Has the JB brainwashing begun yet? Youll have to bring them to some of the shows (if/when they are old enough).

Anyway, I hope you have a great weekend.

Talk soon.

VC

Hi Vanessa
I know row M isn't so bad - I've had much worse!
We can definitely meet at Thebby.
I've posted a photo under "Photos from Adelaide" so you can recognise me (Thebby is a very small venue).
It is pretty busy in our house!
Danielle is 11, Paris is 9, twins Chelsea & James are 7 and Charlie is 1.
Since I've just managed to upload photos to this website, I will try to put in a photo of us.
They're a bit too young yet to come to concerts.
While we were at a department store a while ago, Paris came running up, "Mum! Mum! Jimmy's on!!" as Working Class Man came over the speakers, so I guess the brain washing has started.
Do you have any children?
Anyway, hope you had a great weekend too (did you see any of the JB weekend on fox?).
See you in August!!
Regards Cheryl

PS Sorry the photo is so big - next thing I need to learn is how to make the photos smaller!!
