Eddie ,and Triple MMM

Great to hear on Triple MMM this morning, although remembering..
Triple MMM (Melb), used to be a great support of Jim and Chisel, well, until a slight change a few years back (basically called Jimmy old and not current music)and we all blasted em .. and the The Format changed back .. .. Well today

Just so Jim knows , was great to hear Eddie McQuire on his brand new hot breakfast show this morning referenced JIMMY BARNES in a discussion regarding the forced retirement of the legendary priest (here in vic) Father Bob McQuire aged 75 . (No relation , but Ed s known him for over 28 years, thru his old catholic school).
Long story, Long cant tell it short.
Eddie joked , that at school, Bob used to do the 'hour' sermon in 15 mins, so the kids could get out and play football at lunchtime .He is legendary for his tireless work for the downtrodden , poor, and destitute and feeds people who cant get it from anyone else will do anything to help, (the term he invented - street kids) even this week rang eddie everywhere about raising money for scholorships. Trying to get some kids a secondary education. The Archbishop, has strict rules about the organisation, but ages should not be the overall main consideration . After all the negative press about priests, why would u go after the best in the business because he's 75. The Pope , was appointed at 78 and is now 82 or something.
Eddie is hoping it will be overturned. and then he immediately jumped into a rant on Jimmy !!!. Saying he is the person played more on triple MMM than maybe Nickleback..LOL.. Eddie then congratulated Jimmy , for going No.1 ,with the Rhythm and the Blues , and going past John Farnham , with his 9th no.1 album and with Chisel albums included virtually matches U2 , as the greatest seller of albums in this country .. The point is this , said Eddie, age is irrelevant , your as old as u say ya feel , and as young as u say you feel.. Barnesy Farnesy, and Bob McQuire will be here for a long while yet, surely the church cannot turn a positive into a negative again .and Heres a Barnsey song just for Bob ..!!!!! and on blasted .No second Prize Good on ya Ed !!!!
But I still hate Collingwood. Go the crows this week ..ha ha ha
