Great set too included a few surprises like Sit On My Knee, Choir Girl, Four Walls, You Got Nothing I Want, Out Of The Blue and Resurrection Shuffle.

Add those to the standards of Driving Wheels, I Die To Be With You Tonight, Khe Sahn, Flame Trees, Lay Down Your Guns, Merry Go Round, Second Prize Good Times, Working Class Man, Goodbye Astrid and the new "oldies" of Shake rattle and Roll and Red Hot made for a very impressive show.

I hadnt seen Jimmy since the Freight Train Heart Tour 20 years ago and what a pleasant surprise it was.

I wont be waiting even 1 year to see him again if I can help it.

Spot on Pete, we were fortunate enough to see both shows, Friday night at Doylson and Saturday night in Canberra and there were a couple of surprise songs thrown in there as you said.

You can tell there is a Chisel gig coming up when Jimmy rolls out Choir Girl, You got Nothing I want, and then Saturday night he shocked us all by doing Four Walls as the first encore song. He come out just him and the piano and had the entire audience spellbound, then rocked our socks off with Khe Sahn and Good Bye to close.

Friday was great, Saturday was fantastic. Accoustically Canberra was the better venue, but for that hard rock, hard drinking pub atmosphere Doylo, certainly did that.

ROLL ON HOMEBUSH - 32 SLEEPS (who's counting)

From what i can remember from most of the shows over the years, Jim seems to do a couple or a few Chisel songs in the set, along with a few others that a lot of people wouldn't have heard of. Remember that some of Chisels songs are his. The last few years however, he seems to be doing more of them but.

I remember him doing a Hank Williams song called You're Cheatin' Heart at one show, not in Hanks style of course! At that show there was a new unknown band as support called Baby Animals. Now they've come and gone and now back again.

At a recent show I'm sure i remember hearing him sing Going To Mexico which is a favourite of mine, well they all are really! The last time i heard him sing that was in a very small and hot pub with Charlie Sexton as one of his guitarists on a very small and cramped stage. Everyone was soaked in sweat and rotten drunk, and having a great time as usual. Peter.
