Okay, maybe y'all have some cool ideas and/or pictures to share. I am wanting to build a 24' x 16' wood platform to put in a section where my two geese are contained. I want to have it strong enough for me to stand and walk on and want to put over it a 1/2" thick rubber matting. The reason I want to build this is that I've tried practically everything under the moon to keep this particular area from getting mushy and muddy. I've been using straw hay and, although it helps to some degree, I'm tired of the messy hay and trying to rake feathers out of it and washing down the goose poop. So I'm wanting to put in a wood platform in that area. I will keep the geese's food on the platform covered with a patio umbrella (which I'm using right now). I can take a hose to the rubber matting and wash down the poop and feathers into the grassy area behind the shop where my geese graze.
