I just came back over here after reading a post on the general waterfowl forum about their expectations...I offended that they called us rude kids. When I first voiced a "different view point" I was literally told to conform or get out when I tried to post my opinions on predator control. They say that we are rude to them, but I think I tried very hard to suggest something different and because they didn't like these ideas. I feel really glad that I was invited over here! You guys don't always press that Holderread's duck book, for pete's sakes (I have it) but I still think it is only so good. I have found it to be very good when it comes to a few of the minor problems...but it doesn't go into the other things that are involved with waterfowl. It doesn't even cover geese! There have to be better books out there DO ANY OF YOU GUYS KNOW OF A BETTER GOOSE BOOK? Everytime I read something on TPC that they recommend the book I feel very much like they are salesmen work for Dave himself. (I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST DAVE THOUGH!) I know this probably should have been on the flame board but I can't get that site to load so here it is. I know there is someone the "shops" both boards, and I am sorry but I think there are some people over there that have very one sided view points. Why would this forum be over here if those people over there didn't do something to start offending people?!!! Oh well...done ranting...I was up late last night so I am easily persuaded at the moment! ~JASON
There are a few gems over there on that forum and as you can see, we keep getting them over here eventually. We know you're a great person and care a lot about your animals and take very good care of them and are responsible. They like to label everyone over there as a "kid" that ruffles their feathers (they keep calling me one if that tells you anything...) Their only defense is to discredit us by calling us "ignorant troublemakers" -- which is why they keep calling us "teenagers" and "kids. There is no excuse for rudeness, insensitivity and haughtiness so this is all they can come up with. Just concentrate on the good and stay away from TPC when you are tired and sensitive (oh listen to me giving advice that I myself should listen to LOL).
BTW - I hope you and Jessica get that pair of (Pilgrim? - I hear the breed is still questionable) geese from that Ohio shelter. I know they'd be happy at your place.
THIS BOARD IS FOR FUN AND ONE SHOULD HAVE A THICK SKIN TO READ OR POST... ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK... NOT RESPONSIBILE FOR ANY OF THE THINGS SAID HERE... HAVE FUN AND REMEMBER THIS IS JUST A BOARD FOR FUN AND WILL GIVE YOU A HOOT..
