Im going to be very blunt.This is not about disagreeing.Its about right and wrong.And I dont mean Im right and your wrong.WRONG 1,Having someone else pay to feed birds you are useing,benifiting from.WRONG 2,Saling eggs from geese of questionable heritage,that dont belong to the Org.Saying they are breeds because they look like them. Wrong3,putting more birds out there when the GOAL is too save the ones dumped.Wrong 4 I know she had to have read my posts ,im on late and see her on,common sence Abby,if i post and see theres a new one i go read it. lets drop the too busy crap.What was she going to tell me Abby?? well gee Ron im not putting the birds up to adobt. because im breeding them and saling the babies?? And thats a FACT!!!! DISPUTE IT!!! Im leaving because yes i was charged for being critical and rude and harmful by asking ,Where did your birds come from??? One of our little fosters had feline infectious peritonitis. It's a death sentence. We got the confirmation last week at the vet's but I only had two kids with me and couldn't put the kit down without letting the big two say goodbye. Since she wasn't in pain at that point, we brought her home. We spoiled her rotten until today and took her back to be put down.
Rescuing these little ones can be hard. We lost 8 out of 26 babies last year. This year we've already lost 2 out of 6. This one we couldn't even bring home to bury because so little is known about FIP that I didn't dare take the chance of having something dig up the area and expose whatever the cause is (if indeed it is viral. it might not be) and create a big problem.
We still have the foster feral mom from last year's litter. She loves being indoors with the warmth and food and comfy furniture. She's made it clear that her life would be perfect if the humans would move out. We also have the foster puppy, Dodger. He's still dumber than dirt. I keep hoping that eventually he'll grow a brain.
Hubby still can't get overtime at his job as he used to so that means that I'm working too many hours to keep the budget afloat. I'm still homeschooling the kids and we still have the critters. And the housework still needs to get done.
I'm decreasing the housework by cleaning out as I go. Less stuff in the house= less stuff to clean. Right now, outgrown snowsuits and jackets are in the wash to get ready to go to a friend's boys. Books, toys, and other stuff is being sorted to go to younger children. It's looking better here.
By the way--got those lop eared pekins ready for me? (Sorry, but that ad was soooo funny.)

But I do get what you are going thru.I work 6 days a week at the prison,5 at the school.My only day off is so full that i just get angry, today i bought a lawn mower got it to geather and it dont work. so some where i got to take it back.mean while the house is full of boxes.i did get the dishes caught up.I seem to buy 3 things and the register rings 100$$ no matter what they are.we have big inspections at work.I just want a week alone a big soft bed,air condition a decent book and cookies milk and pizza LOL LOL LOL .Your not alone Mary dont ,be shy let us know if you need a puter hug, we are good at that. And thow it doesnt help to say i know the feeling, you kindness to those awful cats, ( SOORY I have loved only 1 CAT IN MY LIFE AND HE THOUGHT HE WAS A TIGER) will be rewarded along the way.the heart pain and tears pave their way to a better place.Your a good ole gal dear.. its 200 am i have yet to take a shower.,peewee my side kick looks dead feet up eyes shut.
on the Cooking Channel, I just checked out yesterday and I think I will start posting there soon! This is such an interesting and wonderful board! A great mixture of all the things I love lol. Anyway, you'll see me on the CC soon going on about BBQ ribs,steaks and frying and such lol.

Laura is doing her thing to the best of HER beliefs. Leave her alone and move on. Put your valuable energy into something positive. I appreciate your opinion and it is good to think seriously about the issues you bring up, but you will come to see that it is not worth being so angry over.
I had a patient today that lives with his daughter who keeps chooks and ducks. The population has grown, so Dad did the culling while daughter was at work (she knew, but didn't want to know!). 14 down. They were just cross-breeds so not worth much. Actually, he donated the carcasses to a refugee organisation for new Cambodian and Vietnamese refugees who are struggling in a new country. I am going out on Saturday to get two "white ones". I asked "Are they Pekins?" He answered truthfully that he didn't know as the ducks are free range and have all bred with each other, and with the wild mallards.
I DON'T CARE IF THEY ARE NOT TRUE PEKINS, they are white! I am going to have white ducks at the camp which will be pretty to look at, fun to watch, and will bring me more joy then the person wanting to eat them.

Ron, I don't know you very well, but I love reading your posts..you shouldn't go. Even if you pop on when you have 1/2 a second. Often, I just pop on for a minute & read. I reply when I have the time. I love your scovy stories!
