My father, Richard, was a member of Platoon 71 in 1956. He passed away just a couple weeks ago on July 10, 2003. Since his death I have read John Stevens book "Court-Martial at Parris Island: Incident at Ribbon Creek" and realize I know very little of my father as a person before I was born. I was hoping perhaps some members of his platoon may have some memories of him from that time they would be willing to share with me to perhaps have a better understanding of who he was.
