Well at least I think it's a good book , It is a good learning tool any way . The book is called Learning by doing North west coast Native Indian art . By Clark and Jim Gilbert the book cost about twenty dollars and if you ever wanted to carve those neat looking killer whales, wolfs and thunder hawks you see in alaska among others it shows how step by step on some . ISBN-0-9692979-1-2 or go www.abebooks.com/home/indianbooks or phone for it (250) 559-4681 I have a small library on carving books and videos
Hi Mark,
As of yet, I have not read a book about carving or watched a video on the subject. Well I did get Rapheals vidio on Rendezvous 2002.
I have often thought about getting some books and learning from them but with a business to run and this carving addiction I don't how I would have the time to study them.
Being at Ridgway during the Rendezvous taught me more than I ever dreamed possible. I use some trick that I learned there on every carving that I have done since.
