Sorry to hear about the loss Mark. I hope the cops are embarassed enough to do some good detective work on this burglary and recover the items and put the crooks in the jail for a long time.
Best of luck to you and your son.

MARK

October 3 2002, 8:41 AM

I can just about feel what you and your son are feeling, and it's a feeling of hopelessness. Of wanting to do something, but not knowing just what to do. In my case, the Insurance Company said they will send me a check for $5,000.00, But I have not seen it yet. I have got a lot of alarms, and locks on the Carvings now, (and thats a shame). If you would like to know some of what I have in place right now, E-Mail me, and I will try to tell you. That will make a good Post, "Alarms, and other anti-theft Devises" I would Post such a thing, But I am still working on getting my place "really", anti-theft proof. (something that may be impossible, But, way better than it was).
GET PISCTURES OF THE STOLEN ITEMS, AND PUT THE WORD OUT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE), Don't depend on the Police to get them back, They are busy with murders, rapes, and other things that take priory
GOOD LUCK, and keep us informed.

Good one Mark! That sucks getting ripped off. My next door neighbor had his 4 wheeler stolen in broad daylight recently. I saw the guys towing it up the road behind a car with a rope when they passed my house. The cops never even came to talk to me about a description or nothin'. They told the neighbor to quit calling them with info and leads that it was never going to be found and they don't have time to bother with trying. He located 3 other stolen 4 wheelers while following leads himself and the cops wouldn't even go to the house they were at to check it out. They told him to break in and get the serial numbers or else they couldn't do anything about it. Our tax dollars at work. Really makes you feel safe huh? Last week I called in an accident and the state police never answered the phone on a Sat. afternoon. Had to call the next county over 911 to get an ambulance and cop to show up. Ridiculous.
