This one will be used as a shelf to hold smaller carvings at our shows. The flat part of her hair curl is where the shelf will set, another board will rest on her head with the other end on another carving.

The next three show exposed female breasts, if this offends you please do not view.

I got stung be a couple hundred fire ants yesterday and it made me a little dizzy for a while. Looking at the base of the carving it looks like I was still somewhat dizzy when I finished it.
Lynn thinks we need to put a bathing suit top on Maomi for the County Fair. I guess she will probably get her way once again.

GOT A QUESTION

October 4 2002, 4:33 PM

Why in the World would you ever think FEMALE BREASTS would offend me, or anybody. I love them, babies love them, and I think they are one of the most beautiful sights on the earth. But, your right Wayne, some people are not very grown up about seeing bear breasts. I think it's a insecure thing that person (who objects), has. When I had my competition in 1995, Ben King from Tenneessee, had a few bear brested Chainsaw Carvings, and the owner told me that I had to put bura's on them because he was running a "Family Type Business". Now isn't that really weird? At one time or another everyone in that "Family", suckled on breasts, (Probley). But, It's bad to look at them.
Don't make sence to me.

Bottle Babies!

That "Family Type Business" must all have been bottle babies. Or just plain prudes, I guess.

I find bear breasts distracting. They make it hard to concentrate on my carving. <grin>

Consider It Art, Wayne

Hey Wayne,
Lynn is probably right about the county fair, but......
Here are a couple of sites that might give you more insight into the world of art.
This is for Mature audience only.
Wood Sculptor: Allan Smith
http://www.homestead.com/smithandjan/homepage.html
Allan Smith is a great carver in my opinion. He won the Golden Chisel Award. I don't know if he uses saws or not.
Here is a painter that I very much admire. Might give someone out there some motivation to move into fine art.
