How do we like them?
The 377's are a whole lot smoother and stronger than the Stihl 018's, cost a lot more too but about the same weight. Start on first pull.
The 757 ain't been tested yet.
For Sale:
1-Stihl MS 460, 14 months old, used very little.
2-Stihl 025's, one older model, one new 2-22-02
2-Stihl 018's, one 14 months old(presently in the shop waiting on parts) one new
2-22-02.
Gotta go get set up under a big Oak tree in Soperton GA.

Shindaiwa's?

November 1 2002, 11:40 PM

Hey Wayne(with no more pain) and Lynn(with the Shin);
Oh excuse me, for a second I thought I was a poet????? Keep us updated on the Shindaiwa adventure; my wife and I have used Stihl for several years (12 to be more exact) with little trouble or problems. Of course, we helped at a Stihl dealer for a few of those years too, so maybe that helped us stay on top of them. Now we have been approached by a Shindaiwa dealer in our area who wants us to use his product. We're listening and we would like to hear from you two also as we are unfamiliar with the Shin line.

Thanks and good luck!

Bob

The Shin's

November 2 2002, 6:59 AM

Lynn and I have been using Shindawa's in our Lawn Service business for the past 7 years and have had Zero breakdowns. We use three hedge trimmers, one back pack blower, one string trimmer and an edger.
That's enough to convince us since we just had three Stihl's breakdown at the Orangeburg County Fair. The oldest Stihl that broke down was 14 months of age, being used part time too.
Will keep you posted for sure.

Wayne, it has never been the saws,

November 2 2002, 8:34 AM

But the people using them that is important, I like the shindawas to, but the service on those saws around here is terrible. I am amazed the machanic can screw in a spark plug, if the dealer here had a decent machanic I would certantly try them. The guy they have now is more interested in the partys than the saws, He is OK, Just young.
