If you notice none of these snowmen are made from yellow snow.
Don't eat yellow snow.

PS. The snowmen noses are attached after the paint dries.

Don't be fooled

Don't let the shirt fool you, these snowmen were carved with Shindaiwa chainsaws.

About the shop, we live down a South Georgia dirt road so our studio is for work only. We had the building constructed with the end wall recesses in 15 feet so our carving area, 24' X 15' is open on one end. We have never had an exhaust problem as we normally have a ceiling fan running as we carve. We built this place about two years ago and really have enjoyed it.
About the step by steps, well those new shin's run so well that we didn't have time to take the remaining pics. If we carve another we will get the complete step by step for the page.
Thanks Belinda,
I need to go to Metter this morning but doubt if I will stop in and see you, we are running very busy, have to transplant 35 flats of Pansies for McDonalds, that is a lot of work for an old fart like me.
We have done 7 snowmen and yes, a couple do come off as looking girlish. We will take better pics this afternoon before we take them to the retailer. I have plans for carving an Octopus with the base of that two hundred year old Pecan tree laying in your yard so don't burn it yet. I may need to set up out there and carve on it for a while because that thing is to big to move as it is. This will be a carving for our local Vidalia public library's Kids Summer Reading Program. It will be an underwater theme next year, if you remember we did the alligator thing for them this past summer.

We allready have several fish carved for the scene. We hope that you will see the completed scene on your local Savannah TV stations.

Well, Naomi

is a LOT older than you and I...and I think closer to 300 years old. NO have not burnt what is left of her. AND I have not grown enough muscles to move her either! Think it would take a real big CRANE. She is patiently waiting on you to create a master piece so she can live longer. I'd love to watch you carve an octopus. That would be interesting to see. Come set up shop whenever you have time and want to carve. I hope the children will appreciate your art and Naomi's "natural beauty". I sure can't see the critters you see in a log. Amazes tbe heck out of me. Guess it is a good thing all of us don't have the same talent? Give me junk and scrape lumber and ole skil saw, table saw and various other power tools and I might can create my kind of "art"! The "garden bench" is finished except for paint. Don't have a nice shop so have to wait on Mother Nature to supply me with a nice warm day to paint outside. I think I'd prefer your kind of "snow" rather than the "real thing". Realistic looking snowmen...I'll be looking for the new pics of them. Happy carving and come when you can.
