Horseheads and a horse

The above featured our first horeshead bench. The two heads were carved seperately, the one on the right side is 4 inches shorter than the left one.
The below set was carved 3-16-03 using our horse, Angel, as a model. It took two pounds of carrots to keep her in place long enough to complete the carve.


In the above pic we had used a propane torche to burn the carvings, then brushed them with a steel brush.
Below we had put on a coat of stain.
Here is Lynn putting on a VERY HEAVY coat of sanding sealer.

Now they will get a few coats of poly and the backrest and seat attached.

Wayne and lynn. There more work than some may think. Question- Why is Lynn always the one doing all the work, we never see you doing anything. HEHE
