Gosh, we had no idea that so few would be using this site when we created it.
The input has been far less than we expected.
The feedback is nearly zero on most posts.
Any comments ?
Thank You,
Merry Christmas to All,
lynn & wayne
I thought there would be a lot more also wayne . I just figured out how to use my camera sort of and I did a step by step the other day I haven't used all the pictures on the cd yet so when I fill the dic I will post it . the site is a great site it just needs used . maybe the seasoned carvers are to good to post steps . I'm hoping it's because there to busy you never know . Mark
I see that you guys are still at it. We are doing so selling by the road, and doing some small gigs. I do it for just for the sake of my head and the wife does it cause its fun for her. The one thing that we all do is make a lot of sawdust. <LOL> I look in a lot at the step by step for new Ideas. Remember that we still love you guys, even if we don't post. Lone Wolf
I might be able to do a step by step. But, I have to figure out what I'm doing first. I am working on a light house right now. This is my seventh or eighth carving now, If you count all the little stump dogs sticking up around the farm. Keep the site going, I am learning by looking, and I need all the help I can get.
But nice, I don't know why you don't get more traffic. But you still have a very good site that is loaded with lots of great information! Sometimes its better to have a few good freinds than having a large crowd hang'n out!
Merry Christmas

Hi Wayne,Lynn I look in on your site all the time. Guess I dont respond as much as i should, but alot of the post are just repetitious of the same post on the other forums. Not much since responding to the same post twice. There may not be much going on here but what is on here helps new and old carvers I think as much or more then whats on the other forums. Here you dont get all the non chainsaw nonsince the other forum have. Your a learning forum and I for one like it. thanks for keeping it going. I'm sure that will get a responce or two.

haven't been over here much, Wayne, but I sure like what you've done with the place! Looks like a good place for anyone wanting to get started. Seems "polite" here, is that = to boring?
Hey, Merry Christmas to you and Lynn! WalMart workers need track shoes this week, hey?
Yes about the wal-mart workers needing skates this week,
that is the reason that Lynn had her surgery in Sept, she doesn't go back to work untill Jan 12th.
She's doing great and should be using her new for Christmas electric chainsaw soon.
Merry Merry everyone.
Hello Wayne, tonight I just visited your site. I wish to ask questions that may help myself and many to understand. I have been contributing to Forum 54, assuming the word would spread, I see on your site, all the same people I speak with on the other Forum. ( ? ) Is there a move to leave Forum 54 for unknown reasons to me, or are we talking to an entirely different group. . . .Anything I wish to share is universal so I will listen closely to your advice.
Welcome Terry,
We here at 101 have enjoyed The Carving Post Forum for over three years now, and we really do like it.
Our mission here at 101 is to have lots of step by steps for the newby, or wannabe.
We are somewhat dissapointed that we don't get input from more carvers, but, that won't slow or stop our little effort to help out.
As for your talks, thanks for all the work that you put into them, we have learned from them and look forward to the next.
Perhaps Chainsaw 101 would be a good place to file them for future reference by carvers, what about that?
Again, we like Joe King and his Forum.
He must not mind us too bad either seeing how we are linked from his site, as his is from ours.
Thanks for the question, I hope you see our mission.
Thanks

Hello you two - my thxs for clearing up mixed emotions about sharing, both with Forum54, and 101. Your words hit home Wayne so I will attempt to post on both sites.I too have much respect for Joe of himself, and of his work and contributions for all of us. As a new commer to Forums myself, it takes time to discern where to talk and who might want to listen. Your attitude and "cause" is understood and well respected from this end of the planet. . . we'll talk again.
Best regards,
Tjm
dont forget your delaware friend. i am always watching you, i will try and post more often. keep up the great work. hope you both are doing better, and back to 100%.
Thanks for the photos of the bear. I wood like to get started carving. I have tons of stumps to carve. I just cut down a ash tree and left a 36" good solid stump. Have you ever carved an owl.? I wood consider an owl, bear or raccoun. Any step by step besides the bear?
