Hi Frank,
The flower really looks nice.
We normally carve the flower pot also.
The flowers should sell real good in a couple months.

G. - as I was carving I did remember seeing your posts and gave it (pot) serious consideration.
This was a gift for a friend and I know it'll be going in the garden. The shape of the stump was the limiting factor. I didn't feel I could do a nice pot without compromising stability.
Soooooooooooo.... if she wants a pot, she'll just have to by one to place it in.
cheers - FV.

You have a nice carving there. I definitely like it. The picture is the best though with the snow and the sun flowers. I can almost feel the heat....almost

Hey Frank,

I can't tell from the pic, did you texture the center of the flowers at all?

Flower centres

No-texturing done by mother nature - each flower was a branch stub, after burning they checked in the usual 'ray' pattern, the effect was very nice.
