I have been watching this forum for about a week now and have an intrest is sponsoring a carving festival in The Ozarks. My name is David Blankenship.I own a log furniture store in Eureka Springs Arkansas and currently sell carvings that are done by Stevie and Sandy Songer in Oklahoma. We have been in business now for 9 years.
First off I would like to know if anyone is intrested in a festival in April in The Ozarks. No since in having one if no carvers will come. We are located 45 miles SW of Branson Mo. We are a tourist town. We have 2 music shows, A Magic show, and The Great Passion Play, and a variety of shops.
I have started putting together a committee of local business people to help with this and have contacted Make A Wish Foundation in Little Rock also. There is a lot of excitement with the locals that I have shared my dream with. This could be a great asset to our community and also to Make A Wish Foundation, As well to the carvers that will come.
