You will notice at your events, competitions and charities this year there will be a form for you to fill out. This is a new project that is being introduced to the events to promote the carvers, the events and the guild. We are getting info from the winners of events and releaseing news releases to your local news papers with your permission of course so as to give you and the events a free plug for your area.
Sorry if this makes you work harder but we just would like to do this to make more people aware of what we're doing. It also let's the locals know that there is a carver in their area to have something done with that old tree that needs to come down or a piece of it carved for the yard or home. They will find out that there are events in different parts of the country and outside of the country that cater to the carvers and their talents.
So I'm asking that you please do a bit of emailing or leg work and get the contact info that will be needed from your local news paper so that I can get the story to the right place after you have taken home the rewards of doing such a great job.
Thank you everyone for your participation and we hope that this helps you get more carving jobs and promotes the events that we carve in. This can be good for all who are involved. Get the email address for your local news paper and have it ready for that special day when we get to release your name, picture and event in your local newspaper.
