Well after 6-7 weeks or about 65-70 hours of carving and sanding she is DONE !!! (more sanding than carving}...
The wood is White Cedar, and when I started on this project the log was "knot free"...
The knots in her right legg came into play as I got depper into the wood, they were eather a branch or a vine that the tree grew around over the years "about 350"...
I thought about painting her to hide the knots, but it was a breif thought !!! I dont like painting carvings if I dont have to, I think it takes away the actual art work and wood grains "knots or not"...
